The real motivation for the attacks was ... drumroll please .... for the terrorists."... to force their enemy into actions that contradict its ideals ... to intimidate the enemy into showing its true face to the world." She must believe that the true face of the United States is evil, or at least full of revenge. In one piece of writing, she condemns George Bush, the US military, oil companies, US intelligence and our foreign policy, while managing to compliment European peaceniks, the terrorists, Saddam Hussein's restraint and North Korea's military might. And to compound the evil of the USA, she wants us to use money spent in the war effort to help our cities to reverse their monetary crunch, due to their spendthrift ways. Presumably this will come before the next terrorist attack flattens one of them. Or does she believe, as our "intelligence failure" led us to, that there will not be another attack? My question is this: does she really believe this stuff, or is this meant as a parody of liberalism?
